Tiger Beer has done it again and expanded its football club sponsorship. The new beer partner is the Tottenham Hotspur Football Club and becomes the second English Premier League club in 2024.
Both partnerships, including Manchester United, will receive financial support from the Asian beer giant for multiple years. This move shows Tiger Beer’s commitment to supporting teams outside the Asian market and, on this occasion, establishing a firm footing in Europe.
“At Tiger® Beer, we believe that individual courage is rooted in collective support,” said Sean O’Donnell, Global Brand Director of Tiger Beer.
“Our partnerships with iconic clubs like Tottenham Hotspur embody our belief that progress isn’t a solo act. Together, we celebrate teams and the collective spirit that fuels progress, reminding everyone that we can achieve incredible individual feats when we support one another.”
Tiger Beer Expands Football Club Sponsorship to Tottenham
The beer company’s partnership with Tottenham Hotspur is a win, as the football club has over 195 million followers in Europe. Recent reports show that the Big Six UK football clubs average over 60,000 fans per game. While Manchester United ranks number one with over 72,000 attendance per game, Tottenham ranks third with 61,000 fans per game.
Ryan Norys, Tottenham Hotspur’s Chief Revenue Officer, said, “It is fantastic to partner with another industry-leading brand, Tiger. We aim to engage our Asian fans through unique experiences that bring people together through the power of football.”
According to a new survey by Tiger Beer, three in four view fan activities as crucial to uniting supporters of their chosen club. A whopping 75% follow their clubs and participate in activities where possible.
As Tiger Beer looks beyond Asia, it is still clinging to its home sport of football. The game has grown significantly across the major continents, including the North American and European markets.
