When Steven Yeng was a child, his family fled Cambodia, lived in a refugee camp in Thailand, and moved to the United States. He saw peanut butter as a symbol of freedom, sparking his passion for it. Skrewball was born when Steven opened a bar in California with his brothers. Recognizing its popularity, Steven’s wife, Brittany, a chemist-turned-lawyer, envisioned the opportunity to bottle the peanut butter and whiskey drink.
This powerful spirit features a distinctive sweet and savory taste that combines complex whiskey flavors with rich peanut butter notes. The long and satisfying finish makes it a versatile and memorable spirit that can be used in a variety of ways.
Skrewball Whiskey Dangles Peanut Flavored Spirits
In the category of flavored drinks, Skrewball has cemented its position as a market leader through its rapid growth, one of the fastest in American spirits history. Later, Skrewball entered Canada and Puerto Rico with plans to enter Australia and New Zealand. Now, locals can herd with members of the ‘Skrew Krew’ at various in-market events, pop-ups, and in Skrewball’s iconic sheep van.
A Cambodian refugee, Steven Yeng, and Brittany Yeng, a former chemist turned lawyer, founded Skrewball. Steven fell in love with peanut butter after arriving in the U.S. and later incorporated it into a top-selling cocktail at his San Diego bar.
With the popularity of Skrewball, Brittany and Steven teamed up to create a unique whisky flavor. Skrewball has won several awards, including the Best Flavoured Whiskey award at the New York World Wine and Spirits Competition. The expression is currently available in the US, Canada, and the Caribbean. Soon it will reach the Southern hemisphere.
