Copenhagen Distillery Releases New Whisky
Örn Ólason, co-founder and brand director at Copenhagen Distillery, commented on the prospect of the project. “This has been an incredibly exciting opportunity for us. We were delighted to create an exclusive rare whisky for Harvey Nichols, which we matured in our aquavit casks to create a distinctive, specialized taste.
“This product is a testament to our innovative, scientifically driven production methods, and it’s wonderful to be able to bring our passion to Harvey Nichols’ premium customers.”
In a departure from traditional whisky norms, Harvey Nichols offers the whisky exclusively at its Fifth Floor Bar flagship store. The whisky has been bottled at 49% ABV.
Nick Larsson-Bell, senior spirits and beer buyer at Harvey Nichols, said: “We are thrilled to be working with Copenhagen Distillery and the incredible world-renowned master distiller Lasse Öznek to launch a truly artisan whisky exclusively for our customers. These aren’t your classic whiskies or your classic whisky distillers, which makes this collaboration so exciting and unique.”
Copenhagen Distillery was established in 2014 and is the only distillery in Denmark’s capital. The distillery creates small batches using 100% organic Danish ingredients and contemporary manufacturing techniques.
