Do ya one better! It is on the list for tonight during the Mizzou game, but I also stopped by Andrew’s today and picked up some goodies including the Weihenstephaner Festbier and the bottled Ayinger to try (along with some other goodies). I will report back!

I heard. Guess I’ll just have to make do with getting some at The Map Room, along with draft Bell’s O’Fest, Autumnal Fire, and maybe a little Surly Coffee Bender. I’d much rather hang with the gang at 33, but I think I’ll manage.

Let me just say that “horribly disappointing” needs to be taken in context – one of my very favorite breweries, which happens to make kick-ass lagers, taking on one of very favorite lager styles. Expectations were high (likely inflated even).

If there’s any left next time I head down, I’ll certainly drop it by 33 for evaluation.

Thanks for the tips on the additional ones, Mark. Though I think once I’ve made it through my current stash, I’ll be O’fested out for the year.

The Capital continues to bum me out. I’ve had each of my bottles on separate days, and it’s still not doing it for me (I’d had three of my bottles when I wrote the post). I continue to find it rough on the finish each time (both with and without food). I’ve still got three more bottles, but not high hopes.
