I am obviously biased, but I think you need to expand to wine shops. I work at The Wine and Cheese Place in Clayton and we have over 3000 wines, 700 beers, and 250 scotches to choose from. I think your blog is great and is helpful in promoting our industry, but I think you can help people not be afraid to go into a wine shop and expand their horizons from the "cute animal" wines. We are always glad to help people choose from the large selection. Wines from $3.99 up to $1400 a bottle. Plus, I continously price shop we are much cheaper than Schnucks. At last check, we were $20 a bottle cheaper on Veuve Clicquot Champagne, and $5-10 a bottle cheaper on handles of popular liquor like Dewars, JB, Beefeater.....

Well, I think Zac has a good point. My original vision was to find good wines that lots of other folks could find. To abandon ship after only two chapters is pretty lame. Back to Schnuck's I go! Thanks for the kick in goolies, Zac.

I'm torn on the idea of expanding, honestly. While these wines seem ghastly, I get a perverse joy out of reading negative drink reviews and still chuckle to myself thinking about Dave drinking that little penguin stuff.

More than half the point, to my sick mind, is hearing how bad these wines are. Finding wine bottles cheaper than a bomber of Great Divide is much less important.

I think your idea of expanding your choices to include wine shops on Twenty Buck Luck is a good one. You should be able to get some nice bargains, and I think, some better wines by expanding into the specialty stores. Good Luck with tat.
